About

The Yarra Valley Speedway Kart Club was formed in 2005 by a number of avid speedway Kart drivers looking to further the sport to a level that was both enjoyable and professional. Back then the club mainly raced locally at Drouin Speedway with feature events at Laang, Mildura and Gillman Speedway. In 2006 the first Speedway Kart event was held at the State Motorcycle Complex in Broadford with the 400m decomposed granite track being perfectly suited for Go Karts.

The club now races throughout the season at 7 regular tracks and many of our drivers travel interstate to compete in title events.

Over the years the club has grown from a handful of members in the first season to the current number of members being in the seventies. The club prides itself on being a family friendly club and encourages all family members to participate in the family days that are held regularly throughout each season. Where possible the club organises a bus to travel to title events so we can travel as a club and assist the members with reducing costs.

The club has had many drivers who have been very successful at title events and as a club we are very proud of all of our members and the professional manner in which they conduct themselves at all events.

The club endeavors to provide drivers with a safe, enjoyable, competitive and action packed racing for drivers of all ages and looks to continue to make speedway history in the coming years.
